Eupry Wi-Fi data loggers for incubators

An incubator is often used to grow and maintain microbiological cultures or cell cultures. An incubator maintains optimal temperature, humidity and other conditions such as CO2 and oxygen levels. To ensure that temperatures are optimal, it is essential to use data loggers for incubators with an alert function. This will you give you the peace of mind of knowing that your samples are safe.

Our system and staff take care of the process from the beginning to the end, so you do not have to worry about temperature logging ever again. Furthermore, our wireless data loggers are calibrated to the most stringent standards to ensure that you can rely 100% on their readings.

Do incubators need wireless temperature data loggers?

To prevent costly damage or time waste, it is important to be able to receive alarms via SMS or email if the incubator is not working as it should.

When our temperature data loggers alert you to changes as they happen, you are able to adjust the temperature in the incubator in time. Eupry is a preferred solution to log and track temperatures in incubators in the medical, healthcare and laboratory industries because we do not only provide hardware of the highest quality, we provide a wireless temperature datalogger that automatically lets you know in real time when changes in temperature happen.

What additional functions do Eupry’s Wi-Fi temperature data loggers have?

Below we have listed a number of qualities of our solution. The list is far from exhaustive, however, and you are therefore welcome to contact us for more information.

Track and record historic measurements

The Eupry app lets you track historical measurements. The data is sent to you in a highly secure and encrypted format and is safely stored within the Eupry system for up to 5 years.

Two-year battery life

The Eupry team has developed a long-lasting device that runs for two years on normal AA batteries and lets you know when batteries are running low via text or email.

Why should I choose data logging with monitoring over a regular USB data logger?

Incubators, much like other equipment, may not maintain consistent performance over time. Similar to refrigerators, temperatures within incubators can experience notable fluctuations without ever being noticed.

This delayed awareness hinders the timely adjustments necessary to safeguard the sensitive medicines and laboratory samples stored within the incubators.

A key distinction between utilizing USB data loggers and employing WiFi data loggers lies in the capability to receive alarms. USB data loggers, lacking internet connectivity, do not have the functionality to send alarm notifications.

Like USB wireless temperature sensors, Eupry’s wireless temperature data loggers constantly monitor the temperature — even if your Wi-Fi is down. But with Eupry sensors you have access to real time updates of significant fluctuations letting you take the necessary action.

Is It Possible to Calibrate a Eupry WiFi Data Logger?

The calibration of our temperature data loggers is done with strict compliance to ISO17025 specifications in order to verify that the data loggers are measuring correctly. Every year Eupry will provide our customers with a newly calibrated data loggers where the old ones are returned to Eupry.

With our subscription model, the calibration is always included in the price. Certificates for proof of calibrations are located online and are easily accessed when needed.

Where should I place the data logger in the incubator?

Temperatures in incubators can vary from point to point inside the incubator and are not necessarily equal to the temperature that is displayed on the incubator. However, as long as the incubator is from a trusted brand it is most precise.

Most incubators will have a critical high spot as well as a critical low. It is important to place dataloggers at the points in the incubator where there are either critical high or the critical low temperatures.

Therefore depending on the material you store in your incubator go for the most critical of the two. If you use an old incubator with significant variation, you might consider getting an extra Eupry Datalogger so you cover both spots.

In order to locate the critical high and critical low temperatures, you must conduct a mapping exercise. This is a process that ensures you get the exact placement you need for your specific incubator.

To conduct the mapping exercise, you place the datalogger in one position for several hours without opening the incubator while monitoring the temperature and then to move it to a new spot. Keep doing this routine until you have found the critical high and critical low temperatures.

How do I install the WiFi Temperature Data Loggers in My Incubator?

There are three choices when placing the dataloggers in your incubator and each is equally effective.

  1. The most common method is simply placing the Eupry datalogger on the proper shelf in the incubator.
  2. The second method is mounting the datalogger with double sided tape from M3.
  3. The third method is mounting it in the incubator with screws. During the mapping exercise, dataloggers are placed in a tray at various places in the incubator in order to move the datalogger around to find the critical high and low points.

Ultimately, the placement of your datalogger and the choice of how to position it will be based on the dimensions of your incubator and the critical high and low points.

How do I connect the WiFi temperature data loggers to the Eupry monitoring system?

Connecting Eupry’s temperature WiFi data loggers is as simple as downloading the app on a smartphone and registering the device. This can be done by staff across multiple locations.

The system lets management assign different levels of data access to each individual employee. Different levels of the organization can ensure that the incubators are being properly monitored and adjusted which safeguards your valuable content from either overheating or freezing.
